Single formula window

The single formula window contains only one formula to calculate. It serves for fast calculation of a single mathematical expression and for daily periodic computations. This window is placed on top of all the other windows. When the main program window is closed, the Natural Calculator occupies much less space on the screen and is extremely handy to use. The single formula window automatically adjusts, depending on the formula size. As a result, it does not occupy any excess space on the screen.

The single formula window is shown in the picture:

This window has the same rules for cursor movement, selecting, operation undo-redo, and computations. But here, users have only the hot-keys and the suggest window while working with this window. Main window toolbars are applicable only to itself. The single formula window has a result context menu, which lets the user add or edit the result type and edit the result parameters and numeric accuracy.

Opening and closing the window is achieved by means of a single- or double-mouse click at the tray icon (depends on the existing options).

Calculations in the single formula window

One main rule for working with the single formula window is: The formula in this window logically follows the last formula of the main window. This means that the single formula window uses all the variables, functions, and units from the main window and include files.

Example:

The main window contains two variables. The single formula window uses them.

All the changes made on expressions in the main window automatically affect the single formula window. In the new example, we've added a new definition for the variable b. So, the single window expression was recalculated.
